Trying My Best

I am sorry it has taken so long to get everything for Isaac's Foundation switched over and to start to rewrite his journey. It is just very hard to pull yourself together and to function after your son goes to live with God. Some might even question why I am doing this. However, I would not and could not live with myself if I didn't. I made Isaac some promises before he passed and I plan to keep those promises, no matter how long or difficult it is. Not only do I want to do this for Isaac but also to help others. There are two very special women who I met through FB during this journey. I don't know to this day if those two women realize just how much they mean to me. One is from Texas and one is from Arizona. Both had son's who also battled cancer. The one from Texas, her son had a different kind of cancer than Isaac had and to this day he is in remission and doing well. The other mom from Arizona, her son had osteosarcoma like Isaac had. He had it in his shoulder and had to eventually have his arm and shoulder amputated. His cancer also metastasized to his lungs and he too went to live with God. Both these moms helped me so much during a time I was so lost and confused. The one from Arizona, she was so straight forward and honest with me. At times I did not want to hear or believe what she was saying but I would sit and listen any way. The tears just fell from my eyes and I would even get her crying. She told me she was not doing this to hurt me but to try and prepare me as much as possible. She said you could never be prepared for what is to come in the future but a heads up just might help a little. I know that is jumping way ahead from where I am at rewriting Isaac's journey but I just wanted to give a shout out to these special ladies and let them know how much they mean to me and helped me. I am sure if and when they read this they will know exactly who I am talking about. They both are a true inspiration to me and showed and taught me strength and courage. That is also why I want to do this, to help others the way these two lovely ladies helped me.
